The Unspoken End

Our friendship so close knit

Even our envied ego tried to break it

Not possible I said to my heart

Because it was the walks in the darkness I realise that had made it

Time passed and then

A call on a Sunday

Few days after my birthday

Left me wondering

Was distance a hurdle between the three of us

Which had to be broken one day?

The hopes pent up

As we met again at the same place as we used to do

Smiling at the silly memories of what we used to do

While I looked at them and assured myself

They are the same friends whom I met here ‘just a decade ago’ Hold on to your doubts The same group of three Now wanted to be free Because a girl was about to enter the story and ‘Love One’ To set the friendship free
